After the drama of the final of the Championship play-off the domestic Football season is now over. Here is a look at how the outright markets are shaping up for the Premier League in season 2013/14.

As soon as the final whistle was blown and the fans started to celebrate bookmakers were already looking to rain on the Crystal Palace parade pricing them up as favourites for relegation. The East London side are 4/7 (SKYBET/betfred/paddy Power) for relegation next season. I can understand why bookmakers make them favourites for the drop though anyone backing them at this price is crazy. True this is a weak looking side however Ian Holloway also did not have much to work with at Blackpool and almost kept them in the top flight. West Ham and Swansea have both came up via the play-offs and if Palace can start well (like Blackpool did a few years ago) then this price might come out.

Others excepted to struggle next season are fellow promoted sides Hull at 8/11 (GENERAL) and Cardiff at 6/4 (bet365/BETVICTOR). These two both have the finances to make a go of it and with just one of the last six promoted sides going down then maybe some value can be found elsewhere. Norwich are next in the betting at 11/4 (BETVICTOR) and despite a poor second half of the season the Canaries have brought on board the goal threat of Ricky Van Wolfswinkel to add to their well organized defence. Stoke are 7/2 (bet365/paddy Power) and with Mark Hughes having been lined up to replace Tony Pulis they could struggle next season. The Welshman did awful at QPR and this Stoke side looked awful at the end of last season.

At even bigger prices (6/1-BETVICTOR/ladbrokes) Sunderland look value for the drop. Chairman Ellis Short is unlikely to spend a lot of cash after big money deals for Fletcher and Johnson in recent months. It baffles me how the side who finished 17th and just took ten points from their last 14 games can be priced so high. I would recommend a little interest on them at the moment with a view to following up with a larger amount as the season approaches. SKYBET have the Black Cats at 11/1 to finish bottom of the table which also has to be worth a little interest.

At the other end of the table Man Utd are the 11/5 (betway) favourites to lift the title ahead of Man City at 9/4 (bet365/paddy power/CORAL) and Chelsea at 13/5 (STAN JAMES). With all three sides having new managers then it makes no sense to get involved in this market right now. Those looking for players at bigger prices will get Arsenal at 14/1 (GENERAL), Liverpool at 28/1 (GENERAL) and Tottenham at 45/1 (188 BET).

One final bet to look out for is for prices on Daniel Sturridge to finish as topscorer in the English Premier League. He is currently avaliable at 22/1 on the exhanges and if he is available at a similar price with bookmakers this looks the way to play it. The forward grabbed six in his last five games and behind the creative talent of Phillipe Coutinho and the suspension of Luiz Suarez I expect him to come out firing to start the season.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Sunderland to be relegated from Premier League, 6/1 (BETVICTOR/ladbrokes)
SILVER: Sunderland to finish bottom of Premier League, 11/1 (SKYBET)
BRONZE: Daniel Sturridge EW to finish top scorer, BEST AVAILABLE PRICE
